Hi I'm Brad and Melissa McNeil

We are Mormons. We are both full time students, own a business, and have a beautiful 7 month old boy. Life is full.

About Me

We had life all planned out but felt impressed to make some changes. We left our college town with everything we owned in two small cars and started for a new adventure. Marriage in the temple started us on the right course. Attending school full-time, managing our own business, caring for our new addition, and making sure nothing comes before the Lord and each other. . . sometimes it feels impossible.

Why I am a Mormon

There are far too many variables in life to survive the storms without a solid foundation. We found that out in different ways. Brad wondered if the Church was really for him. He took avenues that led to dead ends. One night, upon his knees, in complete despair, he heard his Heavenly Father's voice and the charge was given which changed his life forever. That charge was the whispering of the Spirit, testifying that the Church is true and that he needed to serve a mission. Melissa waited for a miracle, confirming the validity of all that her parents had taught. She was frustrated when she only felt consistent, small, simple impressions of hope and happiness. She wanted something more. She felt like she needed something more tangible in order to prove to herself and to her friends that she was on the right path and that living the commmandments was really worth it. Finally through prayer, she realized that she had always known. Her answer came (and still comes) in pieces, day by day, prayer by prayer, one scripture study or gospel conversation at a time. But in a way, our stories are the same. We both had to know, independent of any other person, that Jesus is the Christ, that the Book of Mormon contains the fulness of His gospel, and that this is His Church restored again to the earth. Our witness is that those things are true. We have come to know for ourselves.

How I live my faith

Melissa and I live our faith day by day. Our faith demands constant attention, day by day. This may seem like a tedious process, but for Melissa and I, it is incredibly uplifting and satisfying. For Melissa and I we frequently go for walks with our son.
