Hi I'm Tyler Blum

"I want people to fear how much they love me." I'm a Canadian and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in southern Alberta, Canada. I love "The Office". I am a huge hockey fan. Anything to do with winter sports is where you will find me. Snowboarding? done. Sledding? Done. I have even been known to do a bit of Curling. I am 22. I am a Scorpio. I am a Magic Player. I love big game hunting. I love Traveling. I have been all over North America. The coolest place i have ever been so far is Japan but there is still alot of world left. I worked in the Dominican Republic for a summer as a private Chef for a treasure hunting company. Currently i live in Georgia, USA serving a full time mission for the Lord Jesus Christ. I think that life is what you make it. Opportunities are everywhere. You live or die by the choices you make, so make every choice count and trust God.

Why I am a Mormon

Well i was raised by parents of different faiths. My Father was a Mormon and my Mother was Baptist. In my youth we would alternate going to different churches. I was often confused at why we did this. There came a point when i was about 14 that i wanted to begin to increase my relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ by being Baptized. The decision of which of the Churches i wanted to join was one i had pondered a long time. I was able to meet with the Missionaries, an experience i remember still to this day. They showed me the Book of Mormon and i read it and prayed. The witness that i received, and since have had reconfirmed many times, has changed my life. I can say without hesitation i know the Book of Mormon is the word of God. The blessings i have received through following the example of Jesus Christ and being baptized as a member of Christ's Church are something that has changed me forever.

How I live my faith

recently i finished serving as a Full-time missionary in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission. For about 12 hours a day you could find me in northern Georgia teaching people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is nothing better than serving the Savior. Through my service i have found that the only path to true happiness is through living the commandments. Nothing else even compares. Before my mission i taught a group of children Sunday school and attended a morning scripture study everyday before school. Living as a follower of Jesus Christ is everything to me. Now i do my best to fulfil the assignments given me by church leaders and live as a follower of Jesus Christ

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Tyler Blum
All Mormons are not required to serve a mission. Serving a mission is a great privilege and honor. All members are encouraged to serve a mission, but none are forced. I will always remember the decision that i prayerfully made when i chose to serve a mission. I knew it was what my Heavenly Father wanted me to. If i had a choice i would serve again.
