Hi I'm David

I'm an accountant, a father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently work for a tax accounting firm here in Mesa, AZ. I love preparing tax returns and working with my clients. I am a husband and father and I love my family a lot. I love doing things with my wife and son. I also love spending time with extended family. Most of my extended family is close so we spend time together frequently. I love sports. I like watching football, basketball and soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the experiences that I have had in my life. My parents have been members of the church for their whole lives and it has been the same for me. I´ve always gone to this church, but the only reason that I keep going to church is because I feel that this church is true. I could easily just go to church and make my parents happy, but that´s not why I go. I accepted the challenge in the Book of Mormon of reading, pondering, and praying to know if the book is true (Introduction to the Book of Mormon and Moroni 10:3-5 in the Book of Mormon). I accepted this challenge and the Holy Ghost truly testified in my heart that the book is true. I am Mormon because I know of myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that it blesses our lives each day when we read it.

How I live my faith

I try to do everything that I've learned every day. It's not an easy thing to do but I know that I will receive blessings by doing so. I just try to be a good person and I try to be nice to everyone. Being a Mormon doesn't mean that you have to do something weird or that you have to have weird rituals. It just means that you remember the Lord before all things. We try to do His will always and we continue learning what He wants us to do. I live my faith by doing what I think Heavenly Father wants me to do.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

David
Missionaries share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. Their purpose is to invite others to change their own lives by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The 5 basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, Baptism by immersion, receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and endure to the end. We share how this Gospel has been restored to the earth again by a living prophet and we also share the plan of salvation that our Heavenly Father expects us to live to be able to return to him. Each missionary knows how the Gospel has blessed them in their life and will share what you need to do to be able to feel the same thing. Their purpose is to help you to know what the Lord wants you to do. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

David
I think each of us want to increase our faith every day. THe only way that we can do it is when we live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many believe that just by believing in Jesus Christ that we have faith in Him, but that´s not 100% true. Faith is living what we believe in in every moment of our lives. The way that we increase our faith is by constantly repenting and changing ourselves for the better. Show more Show less
