Hi I'm Ty

I'm from Utah. I love football, snowboarding, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life. I'm currently serving in the Florida Tallahassee Mission. I love sports, especially football, snowboarding, and Capoeira. I also like to play rugby when there's enough people who know how to play it (which isn't all that often). I LOVE college football and I'm a die hard Utah Utes fan. I'm also big into music and I play the bass guitar, and most recently, the ukuklele. I like being outside most of the time and being really active.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I really gained a testimony of it. I realized I had to know for myself if it was true or not, and I couldn't just 'borrow' my parents testimonies. I prayed to know for myself if the Book of Mormon is true, and I received an undeniable impression that it was. The more I read the Book of Mormon, the more I love it. Over the course of my mission, I've gained a much bigger appreciation for the church and the gospel than I've ever had before. Basically, I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

Before I left on my mission, I taught the nine and ten year olds at church. I was nervous at first, but it ended up being one of the best experiences I've had serving in the church. I'm currently on a mission and that has been the single greatest descision I've ever made in my life. Being on a mission has taught it means to really live what you believe and help others to have the same blessings I've had.
