Hi I'm Rebekah

I grew up in a small town in Indiana. I married my high school sweetheart. We have two handsome boys. We are proud to be Mormon.

About Me

I am a wifey, mommy, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, hair stylist, and Christian. I'm a better one of all of these because I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a stay at home mom and I love that I have the oppurtunity to be with my adorable boys all day, everyday. I don't know what I would do if I had to leave them to go to work! We have never gone without by only having one income and I feel it's because the Lord has blessed us for taking motherhood so sacred. It has always been my number one goal in life, to be a mommy. I am a licensed Cosmetologist so that I can still express my talent that I have been given. The thing I love most about life is that it's my choice to be happy. I have been tremendously blessed and when I lose sight of that, I know that I have stopped serving and have become self centered. I have a true testimony of service because it allows the Lord to work through us, and also opens our eyes to all the ways He blesses us. I love Spring and Fall and my only wish is that they lasted a little longer! Like my children's childhood, that's my only wish is that I could just extend it a little longer. I have figured out a way to do that a little and that's by making each day count. There are days my house is a disaster but you can almost count on the fact that we enjoyed making it that way! I take pride in being my family's number one fan. I live my life for my Savior and He blesses with me immeasureably for doing so!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of two missionaires, who knocked on my parents door, many years before I was born. I was lucky to be born into a family that had already discovered the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and lived it. I had an incredible example of how to live a Christ centered life, from my faithful parents. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and when I live by the standards of this gospel, I feel that love. I shared my testimony with my High School sweetheart and he found out for himself that this church is true through the power of the Holy Ghost. We were sealed in the Nauvoo temple, so that we could be together for time and all eternity. We made a covenant with our Heavenly Father that day and we strive to uphold the promises we made to Him. He has made an incredible promise in return for us being faithful, and He blesses us immensely. Our boys were born into that covenant and we are a forever family. I am so blessed to have a worthy Priesthood holder in my home. I consider this a tremendous blessing. The knowledge that I have that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died that I may live again makes me want to live my life for Him. I try my best to live my life in a manner that is pleasing unto Him. He is always near us and can be in our hearts every day. As we think about Him, it will be easier to act, speak, and think like He would have us do.

How I live my faith

I am the Primary President in our ward. All the children ages 3-11 meet together every Sunday. I teach them a sharing time lesson each week. In doing so I hope to help them grow closer to their Father in Heaven and their Savior Jesus Christ. I bear my testimony, of the things I know to be true to them, to help strengthen their own testimony. I try to express my love for them in any way I can so they can feel the love from Heaven. I enjoy getting to know each child individually so I can understand what makes them feel special. I enjoy the love I have for them, and all children. I want so badly for them to gain a strong testimony of who they are and where they came from. I love going to church every week and sharing my time with them. This strong desire carries over from my overwhelming desire to have my children follow in the Savior's footsteps. If I do anything in this life to make my Father in Heaven proud I want it to show in the lives of the sweet spirits He has entrusted in my care. I strive to live the standards set forth by the Lord's church here on earth. I treat my body as a temple the best way I know how. I pray that I am able to be the example of who I know I am, and show it through the way I live life daily. When life seems difficult I turn to the scriptures and to my Heavenly Father for the guidance He so freely gives me. I can't imagine living my life with out the Gospel. I know it's true! I wish everyone had it in their own lives. It's not that other religions aren't true because I believe they have a lot of it. I see it as a puzzle and the Lord showed us the whole picture and the Gospel was able to be restored it to have all the pieces. I know exactly what the Lord wants me to do with my life today. Through prayer and through our living prophet Thomas S. Monson. He is the shining example and what he says I take as scripture and try my very best to do it! Heavenly Father loves us so much and sent us here to succeed, it's our choice to do so!
