Hi I'm Blake

I'm a proud Alaskan. I love riding motorcycles. I'm a geospatial intelligence student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, off-roading, riding motorcycles, or just hiking. I also competed for several years as a marksman in high school, in local, sate, and national rifle competitions. If I have spare time I like to ride out to the airport and watch the planes take off and land. As a child I dealt with serious medical issues, but was able to overcome them with the help of God and loving parents. I'm currently a student at BYU and working on my undergrad.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out as a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon family. I'm still a Mormon because I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to ask God if it was true. I felt the Holy Spirit touch my heart, and I knew it to be true. I don't know everything, but I know enough. The coolest part of our belief is that anyone can know it is true. All you have to do is to read the Book of Mormon with an open heart, and pray to God to ask Him if it is true. Then listen. When you come to know it is true through the power of the Holy Ghost, all the rest of it falls in to place. If the Book is true then Joseph Smith was a prophet, and all the rest of the pieces fall in to place.

How I live my faith

I serve as a leader in a student group. Every Monday we get together and share a spiritual message, talk about how things are going, and have some type of fun activity. Its a great opportunity for us to get together with people who have the same values and to get away from studying for a little while. It also provides a support network, which helps out because many of us are far from home.
