Hi I'm Mitch

I grew up in Utah and am a technology professional.

About Me

I am a husband, father, and computer geek.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in Salt Lake City, and am currently living in Provo, Utah. While this may seem to be a typical path, I'm not just here because it's expected of me, or socially normal for me to be here. I am here because the strength, purpose and direction my faith gives me. As I child I considered myself a reasonably deep thinker. One of these I could never fully understand is why there was anything? What caused existence? As far as my logic was concerned I could not reason how there could be anything, not even a big empty black void should exist. I guess that sounds kind of existential but within the gospel I have found a purpose, I have found a meaning. I don't have all of the answers, but I feel a deeper connection to something more. Not just a crutch or a false hope, but a true sense of something deeper and more profound then myself. I am a Mormon because I believe in the teachers, I believe there is a God who loves us and created us. I believe through him we can come to know ourselves, our purpose here on Earth, and how we can find happiness in the journey.

How I live my faith

I first take care of my wife and baby girl. A strong close family is a big part of my beliefs. I also serve in my community by helping plan activities, organize and participate in service for my neighbors. Living my faith is part of my day-to-day life, not a once a week thing.
