Hi I'm Stephen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have a baby girl. For fun we enjoy going to the local parks, or bike path, or kiddy pools. My wife and I recently started to learn how to dance swing together and we love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Having a wife and little girl, I really appreciate the teachings and friendly faces at church that help be learn how to have a happy family, and peaceful life.

How I live my faith

I am helping with our local cub scout activities. We plan fun activities for any boys between the ages of 8 and 10. They recently raced little wooden cars, in an event called the Pinewood Derby. We also had a Little Cesear's pizza party in October, with cardboard swords and shields, and a cake design contest for the best looking Colosseum.

How does the Church finance its operations?

Most members of the church donate 10 of their income to the church. It's a practice called tithing, that dates back to early Old Testament times. The Lord promises to bless us for our contribution, and I've seen that out-pouring of blessings in my life. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement is God's plan to help us return back to Him. Jesus death was needed to overcome physical death. Because of His sacrifice, we have "life after death." Apart from His death, Jesus also suffered extreme pain for our sins. This suffering saves us from feeling the full extent of emotional pain that comes from changing our lives for the better. What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I believe Science and God have a lot in common Science is trying to figure out how God did it all. The first time I held my baby girl, I was amazed at the gift of life. I know she came from Him. Show more Show less
