Hi I'm Clark

I'm an outdoorsman. I'm a student trying to live a balanced life. I love the Savior, and I'm definitely a Mormon

About Me

My name is Clark. I'm a student at Brigham Young University. I have been a member of the church all of my life and it has truly become my most cherished possession. I love the teachings of the Gospel. I'm especially grateful for the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation which explains our relationship to Heavenly Father; that we are literally His spirit children and that the purpose of the life is to gain experience which will help us become like He is. I love that the Gospel takes us where we are lifts us higher. We become better, one day at a time, through the grace of the Savior. As a result... We become happier!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that it contains the absolute fullness of the Gospel and Doctrine of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know this is true because of the repeating witnesses and reassurances I receive from the Holy Ghost about the teachings, beliefs, and declarations that are found here. I am a member of this church because it is led by a living Prophet who receives revelation and direction directly from Heavenly Father as it pertains to our times and circumstances. Along with this we have additional witnesses and testaments of Jesus Christ found in the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and other scripture. It all goes hand in hand. The scriptures, the living Prophet, and the doctrines all point us to Jesus Christ and invite us to walk the straight and narrow path which will lead to happiness in this life and eternal life in the next.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time... Just like logs have to be thrown on a fire to keep it burning, it takes daily scripture study, prayer, and repentance to keep a testimony alive. A testimony isn't something that comes all at once. Once you recognize your own, you don't have it automatically for the rest of your life. It takes steady, consistent, and diligent effort to maintain. After all, nothing that is truly worth while comes without some effort.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

This is an important question to ask about many things. First you would need to know WHY you would want to know if this is true. When all is said and done, our message isn't just another message and our claim doesn't set us aside as some other church. We give our witness that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, love us, and are completely aware of our situations and want to be involved with our lives. We say, that because God really is the same yesterday, today and forever, that he has once again called a prophet to restore the full and complete Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is either true or it is not. ANYONE CAN KNOW. The way is to study and apply the teachings, message, and evidence of this claim in the Book of Mormon, and prayerfully and persistently pray to know of its truth. How many times does God say, "Ask and ye shall receive?" Nothing worthwhile comes with little effort, but a testimony of this message is worth any sacrifice. God will hear and answer even the most simple prayers. So to sum all of that up to answer the question, "How can I know Mormonism is true?"... Well.... Tell Heavenly Father you want to know... then show him how much you want to know. Read, ponder the message, pray... then if you're still not sure... read, ponder and pray... A loving Heavenly Father won't let your prayer of faith go unanswered. Show more Show less
