Hi I'm Rita

"I grew up in California. As a child I wanted to be a Nurse, I'm a Mormon."

About Me

In 2006 I retired after 35 years of Nursing, I loved being an RN, it was a very fullfilling profession. It worked very well with my marriage and raising our three children. I was married at a very young age of 17, and after having my three children I went back to school and fulfilled my dream of being a nurse. I have been married to a wonderful man for 49 years who loves me and support me. My hobbies include family history and finding my ancestrial and their stories. I love to travel . I also love to read historial novels.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was searching for something more than material things in my live, I found Jesus Christ and his church. I have been an active member of the LDS faith for the last twelve years. Over the past twelve years, everytime that I read the Book of Mormom, the spirit testifies to me of the truthfullness of the book. I know that God knows me by name, I feel his present in my live on a daily basis. Because I know that God Lives, it brings peace to my soul.

How I live my faith

After my retirment, I had the opportunity to serve a full time Mission in Navuoo, Illinois. I gave tours in the homes of the early Saints, telling their stories of their hardships and of their faith in Jesus Christ. Today I serve my heavenly father,as Relief Society President in our ward woman's organization. I love the Sisters of my ward and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve them.  When I first was asked to be the Relief Society President, I was surpries but when I prayed I knew that this calling would give me an opportunity to grow spiritually as I serve the Sisters in my ward.
