Hi I'm Cary

I've lived in many places, but I now live in Utah and I am a father of seven children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was a pilot in the US Air Force and I grew up moving every 3 years or so. I've lived in Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Washington, Germany and California. I've played sports all my life and even ran a marathon. My wife and I have 5 boys and 2 girls. I've worked most of my life in the software industry. I have always felt that I have a blessed life!

Why I am a Mormon

My father joined the LDS church when he was 18, soon after his brother joined the church, the first in his family. My mother's ancesters joined the church in New England and travelled to Utah in the 1700's. So, I have grown up with the church in my life and was baptized when I turned 8 years old, but I remember really first being touched by the spirit when I was 12, while hearing a modern day prophet speak in general conference. I knew right then and there that he was a prophet of God and that the LDS church is the right place for me. I served a mission for the LDS church when I turned 19 and my faith blossomed as I served the people and shared my faith. It has continued and grown even more with my family.

How I live my faith

Family is very important to my wife and I. We focus all we do on helping our children gain a foundation in Jesus Christ and living the principles He taught. We have daily family scripture study and prayers. We love to serve in church, my wife teaching music to the children, and I helping with the young men (12-18 yrs old) gain testimonies and prepare for their futures. We go to the temple often, where we gain inspiration and faith. Christ is a major part of all that we do.
