Hi I'm Adam

Proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I am 25 years old and about to be a father for the second time. My wife and I have been married for 4 years now and have a 2 year old daughter who is a wonderful little girl most of the time! We love her like crazy! I am currently going to college online for a Computer Science degree. Music is a passion of mine and I love to sing

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was raised Mormon, and her family comes from a long line of Mormons. My father is not Mormon, and most of his family is not either. From an early age, I had to make a choice as to whether or not I would follow my mother and be Mormon, or follow my father who does not believe in organized religion, though he does believe in God. As I went to church with my mother, I felt the Holy Spirit, even as a small child. As I got older, I continued to feel the Spirit whisper to me that the things I was learning were indeed true, and from God. I continue to follow the Mormon way of life because of the many times that I have felt the Spirit testify to me that it is true. I know that when I live the teachings of the Church, I am living the way that God would have me live. The more I live the teachings of the Church, the closer I come to know Christ, and to appreciate his sacrifice for me. I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible several times in my life, and everything that I read in both points me towards Christ. I have prayed about both, and I know that they are both truly His word. I know this because he has made it known to me through his Spirit speaking to mine. He continues to strengthen my knowledge of this as I study both of these sacred books.

How I live my faith

At church, I teach the 12 year old's in Sunday School. This is a bit of a challenge for me sometimes because I am not the best disciplinarian, and sometimes the kids can be a little rowdy! However, I try to make learning about the Gospel fun, and most days the class is very respectful of the things they are learning. At home, we read the scriptures to our 2 year old and are teaching her to pray. We do our best to invite Christ into our home, and try to live his commandments. I have found that we grow closer as a family the more we turn to Christ. I also have found that the more I rely on Christ to guide me, the more confident I am when I am called on to make decisions. My family is one of the most important things to me, and living my faith as a Mormon helps me to be the kind of Husband and father that I need to be to keep my little family together and happy.
