Hi I'm Randy.

I'm a native Floridian, but I love the mountains of Utah. I love making people laugh. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a programmer by day, and author, comedian, and gamer by... well, also by day. (At night I'm asleep.) (When I don't have insomnia. Oh man. Gotta hate that insomnia.) I'm also a husband and father of three wonderful little girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS by my mom (my father wasn't LDS). After my mother's death when I was 11, and my father's passing when I was 13, I began to lean much more heavily on the Church for a source of emotional support. I struggled gaining a testimony, however. I prayed, I fasted, and studied to know if the Church was true, if what I'd been taught was correct. I lived the Gospel on faith - not blind faith, as I HAD seen the Gospel's ability to make one happier - but it wasn't until I was 20 that my prayers were answered. I got a very distinct, very unmistakable impression that what I was reading in the Book of Mormon was true. I felt an incredible peace, and I felt love for absolute strangers that I could only describe as divine.

How I live my faith

I love teaching my girls to pray, and to be grateful for all that they have. I ask them to look for ways to help others, and try to show them how it can bring them joy by serving. In my ward I coordinate efforts to keep the building and grounds clean - which is made easy by the number of people who volunteer or readily accept requests for help.
