Hi I'm Chad

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm a happily married father of three young children. I love to play and watch sports, especially basketball, and enjoy supporting our California teams such as the Lakers (NBA) and Angels (MLB). Financial services represents my professional background, and I really enjoy helping the families and executives we work with. I love to read non-fiction books, mostly about business, finances, goal-setting, and family/parenting books. Our family loves to spend time together, whether at home playing or traveling on family vacations. We especially love to spend time at the beautiful beaches here in Southern California.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints means everything to me. As a young man, I decided to be very involved in religious study and felt a close relationship to God the Father and Jesus Christ. This belief in them helped me decide to serve others, to continue living my beliefs, and to give up 2 years of my life to become a church service missionary. I was assigned to Lithuania and the Baltic States and my experiences during that two year period changed my life forever. I believe that God is our Father and that He loves us, and that His Son Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. Only through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice can we be saved and return back to God. I believe that God still speaks to prophets in our times and I thank God everyday for caring so much about us. Families are meant to be forever, and can be strengthened by following Christ and His gospel teachings. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and will strive to live by faith throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ in the way I treat people. I read God's word in the scriptures personally and with my family and pray often throughout each day to give thanks to God for our blessings and to ask for help. Currently, at 6am in the morning, I volunteer teach a Bible Study class for the local high school students. In the past, I've also helped with the youth groups at church and was a volunteer Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America for 6 years. Service to my family and to others helps me live my faith and remember that "where much is given, much is required."

Who are the Mormons?

"Mormons" is more of the slang reference to practicing members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Mormons" are family-oriented Christians who were baptized and became a part of the above mentioned church. Some also call us "L.D.S." The church has a worldwide membership of over 14 million people and is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. We believe the Bible and Jesus' teachings in revelations to modern-day Apostles and Prophets. The nickname 'Mormon' comes from the Church's belief in the Book of Mormon, ancient scripture recorded by prophets during the same time the Bible was being written. Show more Show less
