Hi I'm Adam

I've found the way to happiness!

About Me

I'm a down-to-earth Idaho country boy, and though I've been all over the world, I have decided that being a country boy in a small town is the best way to live. I am a college graduate and am currently working as a project manager for a local engineering firm in Idaho. I design and manage industrial projects all around the world, which is both an exciting and challenging career. In spite of being a borderline workaholic, I love to be outside enjoying the sunshine and beautiful scenery of the area as much as I can. I enjoy camping, snowmobiling, skiing, riding my motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, watching movies, etc. I live in a beautiful country farmhouse on some acreage where I hope to be able to raise a family that will learn the value of hard work and self-sufficiency. I have conservative opinions, and as much as I appreciate modern conveniences, I miss old-time values. I believe that the most important things in life are God, Family, and Country, and try to make them first priority.

Why I am a Mormon

Conjecture. Theories. Philosophies. Everywhere. Is any right? Can you know? I do. How? Through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It teaches certainty, not conjecture; truth, not theory; principle, not philosophy. The Church is not an institution of indoctrination. It is a map and compass that shows the way to Christ – the true source of answers to life’s most meaningful questions. I’m a member because I want to know. I’m a member because I do know.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is more than a membership; it is a lifestyle. As part of being active in my faith, I attend a three-hour block of church meetings each Sunday. I serve in the Church, free of pay, in whatever position I am asked to by local leadership. Currently I preside over a group of approximately sixty18-30 year old men, which gives me a chance to help others better live what the scriptures teach and find joy and happiness in serving others; it also helps me to do the same. I participate in the Church's home teaching program, which is a program that places a few families in the church group I’m part of under my watchcare to help make sure temporal and spiritual needs are being met. I study the scriptures daily to keep the commandments and doctrines of the Gospel fresh on my mind. I pray morning and night to my Father in the name of His Son to help me do what’s right and solve the day’s problems, and thank Him for His tender mercies. I donate a portion of my income to the building-up of the Church and to fund the Church’s humanitarian efforts. I abstain from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, and illicit drugs to be free from addiction and keep my mind clear. I participate in my community through service projects and community activities. I refrain from vulgarity and crude language. I reserve sexual intimacy for the time when I am married, and will maintain complete fidelity to my wife. I do my best to be honest with my family, friends, employer, coworkers, and neighbors. In short, I work hard to be a good person, and participate in things that will help me to become, and stay that person. That’s what the Church is about: helping bad people become good, and good people become better. I'm becoming better one day at a time!
