Hi I'm Carlee

I am a student and avid thrift store shopper. I love wedding gowns and graphic design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying leadership. I have been in school for a while now and just finishing up. I am going to start graduate school in the fall, I love education. I love to play the piano and guitar. Music is a wonderful outlet for me. I am single and very active in life. I love to set goals and achieve them. I love reading and learning more about the world around me. I am an avide thrift store shopper. About 75% of the clothes in my closet are from thrift stores. I enjoy creating things, from cloth flowers, to marketing material for my company, or a delicious dinner (ok, sometimes it's not too delicious). :)

Why I am a Mormon

As a Mormon my life centers around Christ. Everything I do, what I study, how I live, the goals I set for the future are all guided by His light. Being a Mormon is about being a follower of Christ, and it makes my life so peaceful. I find great happiness as a Mormon. I know who I am, I know where I came from, I know why I am here on the earth, and I know where I am going. Being a Mormon has answered so many of life's questions. I also have a standard of living that keeps me safe and allows me to be proud of who I am. I know how to dress in order to please God. I know how to speak with virtue and kindness. I've been taught how to search for things that are uplifting and good. I find strength in being honest and having integrity. I feel confident with my thoughts and actions as I follow Christ's teachings. The main reason I am Mormon is because it's true. Christ leads this church. He has restored His Gospel to the earth for the happiness of me and everyone.

How I live my faith

Everyday I prepare myself with scripture study and prayer, and then I go out into the world and find ways to serve other people. My perfect example is Christ, and I try to find ways to be like He is, and live like He lived. I find ways to use kind language, not harsh or vulgar. I am honest with all people. I look for ways that I can love and lift. I obey the laws and care about my country and community. I seek out education and truth from school and the best books. I love the commandments of the Lord and find ways to keep them more fully each day. I make mistakes - a lot of them - and I am not perfect, but I can always repent and do better each day. I fee like I am just a normal, everyday person out to share Christ's light with others.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The way to know if Mormonism is true or not is just like learning any other truth - Study, inquire, ponder, and then pray to Heavenly Father to receive a confirmation if it is indeed true. The way that I gained my testimony was by reading the Book of Mormon, pondering what it said, and then asking God if it was true - I received an answer that it was indeed true. Talk to God, he will not lead you astray. He will always lead you to His Son. And being a Mormon is about being a follower of Christ. I know that God will answer all our questions as we ask him with real intent, with a humble and meek heart - But he will especially answer this one, of whether or not Mormonism is true.
