Hi I'm Jaclyn

I grew up in Arizona. I enjoy working with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very simple person. I like things to be nice and easy. While that doesn't always happen in life, I still keep my spirits up and go with the flow. I absolutely love chocolate and I collect lighthouses. My favorite things to do are reading, watching shows and movies, riding my dirt bike, shopping and crafts (when I have the money and time), playing games such as Uno and Scrabble, and spending time with my family. I love being a teacher's aide and working with children, although I hope to someday be a stay at home mom. I have been married for over 12 years now and haven't been able to have a child. Luckily, we were blessed with a son in 2013 through LDS Family Services.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were already members. Being a Mormon is all I know. I am still a member of the church because of my testimony that I know that His church is true. I know that Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ, loves each and every one of us. I know that our current prophet, President Monson, is the true prophet who receives revelations from our Savior for us. I also know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I know that the covenants we receive in the temple are true and that by getting sealed to my spouse and our adopted son, we will be together for eternity.

How I live my faith

I attend all meetings that is required by me. On Sundays I go to church to continue growing my testimony and strengthening my spirit. I pray and read the scriptures daily. I have taught children of all ages and have served the sisters in my wards.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Lord has commanded us to take good care of our body. To do this, observe the Word of Wisdom. The Word of Wisdom means to eat nutritious food, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. When you do all these things, you remain free from harmful addictions and have control over your life. You gain the blessings of a healthy body, an alert mind, and the guidance of the Holy Ghost. We should avoid things that are addictive and harmful to our body like: tobacco products, coffee or tea, any form of alcohol, and any drug, chemical, or dangerous practice that is used to produce a sensation or “high” because it can destroy your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
