Hi I'm Monica

I love meeting new people and making new friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dental assistant who enjoys teaching in primary, making jewelry, crocheting and working on family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a friend in 4th grade that always wore a skirt to school on wednesday. I asked her about it and she invited me to primary. My grandmother made sure I continued to attend. I made some great friends and had wonderful leaders who taught me the gospel and what kind of a family I wanted to create for myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings and treating my fellow church members as part of my family. We moved to a new city 7 years ago and never felt lonely. By continuing in that tradition, new members are my new brothers and sisters and I look for opportunities to help and serve them as I would my own immediate family.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by reading and pondering the scriptures, prayer and attending our church meetings. As I read the scriptures, I learn about Jesus Christ and his ministry. Listening to conference helps me understand how to use gospel principles in my daily life. As I read the conference talks, it solidifies the teachings. As I read the scriptures, my faith in Christ grows and my understanding of his gospel increases. Show more Show less

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is important to Mormons because it is the fundamental organization of Heavenly Father's plan of happiness. We are here to learn to be Christlike and create eternal families so we can be linked together throughout eternity. Genealogy work is an extension of our current family structure. We can be linked to many generations of our family through temple work. Show more Show less
