Hi I'm Jessica

I'm half Asian. I speak Spanish. I love my freckles. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five children. I love my family! They are the most important people in my life. I like to cook, bake bread, read, play the piano, and work out at the gym. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology and I hope to become a clinical psychologist and help people who struggle with mental health issues and other problems. The greatest joy in my life comes from getting to know people and hearing about the things that are important to them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon. There came a time in my life when I had to ask myself if I really believed what I had been taught my whole life. I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself that God is my Heavenly Father and that He has a plan for me. He has provided a way for me, and for all of His children, to grow to become like Him, and to eventually live with Him after this life. That way is through Jesus Christ and the restored gospel. I know that God loves me because he sent Jesus Christ to provide the way for me to find happiness in this life and in the next life. I have great faith in God's love for all of His children! I've seen the gospel of Jesus Christ change many different peoples' lives in many different ways. It doesn't matter our age, race, culture, or history--the gospel of Jesus Christ can bless us all.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying each day to draw closer to my Heavenly Father through praying, reading the scriptures, and serving others. I've learned that by trying to exemplify the way Jesus Christ lived, I can better understand what God wants me to do. I try to follow Jesus Christ's example by reaching out to people around me and loving them for who they are. I am currently serving as a missionary in California and I love sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Jessica
Our bodies are gifts from our Heavenly Father. They are called temples because they are sacred and they help us to learn, grow, and progress to become more like God. Our bodies allow us to experience many wonderful things, and to serve the people around us. By treating our bodies well and using our bodies to serve others and to serve God, we show God that we love Him and that we are grateful for the bodies we have been given. Show more Show less
