Hi I'm Camille

I was born in Mesa Arizona. I am married and have 5 children. I love to play tennis. I love to run. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of five children, one girl and four boys. Life is crazy, busy and wonderful! My oldest child is about to graduate from high school and my youngest just started kindergarten. I am still not sure what I think about this! We are a family that loves sports and doing things together. If someone has a game or a race, we are all there! I am so thankful for the love and support that we can feel from each other. I also enjoy making quilts, cooking, playing tennis, running, health and nutrition, sports, family and friends. I love to laugh! I find it very therapeutic! I consider myself to be extremely blessed and I feel so grateful for a loving husband and children that teach me so much every day!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a mother and a father who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They loved God and they loved Jesus Christ. I knew it not only because of what they said but because of how they acted. When I was about 12 years old they were teaching me and my siblings one evening about Joseph Smith. They retold the story I had heard over and over as a child about Joseph Smith praying and asking God which church he should join. God and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to him and spoke to him. As my parents retold this story on this particular evening it touched my heart deeply, so deeply that it pierced my soul and I knew without a doubt that it was true; that Joseph Smith was reading the Holy Bible and was powerfully impressed by a scripture found in James, that stated 'if any man lacked wisdom let him ask of God'; and that he indeed saw and talked to God and Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for Joseph Smith's faith and courage at such a young age to ask God for an answer to his prayer. I know as a result of this simple desire and faith and prayer, that the true gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth again. I know that I can pray to Heavenly Father and receive answers too. I know that God knows me and loves me. I know that Jesus died for me and that he is my Savior. I know these things are true because the spirit tells me so! I am grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost that I received when I was baptized! It has been a source of guidance, comfort and testimony to me throughout my life! I could never journey through this life alone and am so thankful I don't have to. I have experienced no greater joy in this life than when I serve others. As I try to follow my Savior's infinite example to love as he loved and to serve as he served, my life is full of peace and joy. Being a Mormon has blessed my life deeply! I am so thankful for parents who loved the Lord and who loved me enough to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and teach it to me.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve others both in the community and at church. I love service. When I serve others I feel closer to my Savior. At church I have had the privilege of working with women, youth, children and cub scouts. I currently teach the ten year old children each Sunday about the gospel of Jesus Christ. They really teach me! They are so sweet and they have such a desire to learn from the scriptures about Jesus and how they can be like him. I get to visit with women each month in their homes. It is fun getting to know them and learning about their lives. I love to be able to do things for them and help them strengthen their families and homes and their love of the Savior Jesus Christ. In the community I serve on the Booster Club for the Cross Country team that two of my children run on. Besides the fact that I love cross country and love running, one of my favorite parts of serving on the Booster Club is being able to work with so many wonderful, loving and giving people! It is so great to be surrounded by such Christlike people. It brings me joy to see others so freely giving of their time and talents. I have seen and felt much love and sacrifice rendered on behalf of parents, runners and coaches. Last year our Cross Country coach's wife was put on bed rest for some time. The team rallied together and brought meals in for many weeks. It was awesome for me to be able to see the love and the willingness to help someone in need. I am grateful for the chance I have to help work with and be part of such a team!
