Hi I'm Allen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live with my wife and three kids in Georgia. I enjoy camping, canoeing and college football. War Eagle. I work in the construction industry and love being involved in challenging and complicated projects that become a permanent part of the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. Growing up I attended church with my family and became involved in youth activities. I developed some life long friendships. As a youth I often looked at religion as restrictive and didn't understand the value of a personal relationship with Christ. As i grew older I began to realize that happiness wasn't restricted by my religion, it was enhanced by it. As I began to try and live what my parents had taught me I became happier. As I developed a relationship with Christ I wanted to be more like him and live his teachings. I'm a Mormon because it helps me to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being a good husband and father. Each Sunday when we leave church my kids ask me, "What did you learn about at Church today?". My answer is always the same, " To be a better daddy and to love Jesus." I try to be honest and kind to others. I enjoy reaching out and encouraging other husbands and fathers to be better. Life is about constantly improving.

Are Mormons Christians?

Allen
Yes. Jesus Christ is at the center of our lives. We worship him as our Savior and follow his teachings. Because of his life and death we are able to be forgiven of our sins and live with God after we die. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Allen
I look at the world around me and see his hand in the beauty of nature. I think of God as the creator of these things and am taken back by his work. As I spend time in nature I feel close to my Heavenly Father and know that He is. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Allen
We believe that Christ is the only way to return to heaven. It is by his love and grace that we are able to do so. Without Him nothing we do could ever be good enough to get to heaven. With Him we are able to repent and make our wrongs right, allowing us to return to live with Him. Show more Show less
