Hi I'm Matt

I have been a Mormon my whole life!

About Me

I grew up in southern California. I served a mission when I was 19 years old. I was married during my senior year in college. After I graduated I went to work on Wall Street, specializing in commercial real estate investment. I now live back in southern California with my wife and four children. I am president of a hotel and real estate investment company. I have served in many capacities in the Church, but I love working with the youth the most!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. During my time as a youth in the Church, I was taught and developed through the youth and scouting programs many important principles and character traits that have given me great support and direction throughout my life. I find that I am a better person living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I find that I am better able to guide and teach my children today, to be a better husband. I love the members of the Church and the strength that I get by being involved in my local congregation. But most importantly, I need the direction and strength I receive by being a Mormon and how it helps me grow closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I believe that Faith is an action word. I have found that my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grows best when I am serving others. I love working with the youth in the Church. I have found great joy in helping young people learn about the Savior and his message by serving them. This service can be working in scouting, teaching lessons on Sunday, and even DJing youth dances. But serving people is one of the greets blessing that I find in my faith. The Lord has many ways of helping us give back - be it at church, in the community or even in our families.
