Hi I'm Marie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I married the love of my life on December 13, 2008. We are both going to school and I just recently graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Community Health. I love to read, watch movies and sports with the hubby, play racquetball, and anything outside including hiking, fishing, 4-wheeling, etc. I also love to travel although money for traveling is hard to come by so we don't do it much, but someday I would love to travel the world!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. My parents were married in the temple and I was raised as a member of the church. That being said, I still had to go through a process on my own to gain a testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and his gospel. It wasn't anything that some would call miraculous, I didn't have angels come down to tell me that it was true, but through prayer and study of The Book of Mormon I was able to gain a testimony of my own. It really was just a simple warm feeling that gave me the greatest sense of joy I had ever felt in my early life. I am Mormon because I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ we can one day return to our Heavenly Father. My family means the world to me and brings me so much joy and because of the gospel, I know that I get to be with them forever. The joy and happiness we experience with our families does not end in this life. There is even greater joy to come.

How I live my faith

I feel like it's so important, especially as a member, of the church to live every day like I really am a member of the church. :P I am not perfect by any means but we do strive to live like our Savior Jesus Christ would live. I try to keep the commandments and follow the counsel of our Prophet and apostles. I strive to treat others the way I would want to be treated. To me the best way to live my faith is simply by treating others as the Savior would and by serving others as the Savior would. I do have a calling in the church as a member of compassionate service committee which is exactly what it sounds like. We strive to serve the sisters in our ward with whatever need they may have.
