Hi I'm Jenner

I'm the owner of a video production company. I love to write music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with three young children. I love writing music and have been songwriting for many years. I was raised in Southern California and have traveled all over the world. The more I get out in the world the more convinced I am that there is no place like being home with family.

Why I am a Mormon

As I study the major religions and philosophies of the world it becomes apparent that there are certain questions about our life and why we are here that are only adequately answered in the LDS Church. I have come to see that what all of us are is so much greater than we can now imagine, that our journey here on the Earth is just a temporary experience meant to help us develop and grow. That we were sent here by a loving Father in Heaven who wants us to become like Him, like when child goes off to university. Within the framework of Mormonism, life's difficulties become the alchemy process that refines us and makes us better people if we allow it to. All of us should have a real sense of mission and purpose in our lives. There is no better place to achieve that enlightenment than in the LDS Church.

How I live my faith

We find that by going to our weekly church meetings we come home renewed and recharged and ready to take on the week ahead. The thing I love about going to church is how practical and pragmatic it is. It is not some abstract history lesson or philosophy treatment. We learn how to apply the teachings of Christ to our daily lives in meaningful and helpful ways. As a family we read together from the Bible or Book of Mormon before bedtime and find that it's a great way to bring a divine spirit into our home. Doing those kinds of things that cultivate that spirit in our lives gives us greater strength to overcome the struggles of life. Even our youngest children can now recognize the peace and nature of this spirit.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

For me, a temple is a very sacred place that symbolizes the connection between Heaven and Earth. Temples are somewhat like a scale model of the universe, or a compass from which we can get our bearings and look at things from an eternal perspective. It's the ultimate bird's eye view of the meaning of life. We go there to be reminded of why we are on Earth and what we need to do to return safely home to the "real world" where we came from. We are taught the step by step process to ascend back into the presence of God. In that sense, the temple is somewhat like a heavenly "embassy," or a little bit of Heaven on Earth. We try to go as often as we can to feel that heavenly presence. Show more Show less
