Hi I'm Adam

I grew up in Geneva, Florida. I'm a father, husband, student, blogger, and avid reader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of two girls, a two and five year old. I have a beautiful wife and a very busy life. I'm currently working full time and I go to school full time. My degree is in Organizational Communication and my current employment is as a Systems Implementation Manager for a specialty pharmacy. Some of my favorite things are to read as much as I can, make videos when I have the time, write for my blog, and I enjoy a good video game.

Why I am a Mormon

My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has brought me every good thing that I have in my life. I attribute much of my professional success to the time I spent as a full-time missionary for the Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. My perspective and attitude on education has been greatly influenced by Church doctrine. Also, my family, which is the single greatest blessing I have, and my feelings toward the family have come because of my membership in the Church. I choose to live the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I feel a divine confirmation of its truthfulness. I believe God has reached out to mankind throughout history and is doing so today through His Church. I consider it a magnificent privilege to be part of the Church and live according to its tenets.

How I live my faith

The Gospel of Jesus Christ influences nearly every decision I make. I try my best to live according to the revealed word of God and subsequently be blessed because of it. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been given a host of opportunities to serve within the Church, including serving a full-time two year teaching mission in Las Vegas, Nevada. Providing genuine service, both to the members of the Church and those who are not members of our faith, is one of the great focuses of the Church. I hope to measure my level of commitment to Jesus Christ largely by the service that I provide to Heavenly Father's children.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Adam
There is a lot of skepticism in the world today. Sometimes people of faith can feel like their views and beliefs are seen as being archaic or impractical by others. Despite all of this, I have a conviction of the reality of God and his divine Son. I have felt and recognized God's intervention in my life, and I would be unwise, to say the least, if I were to second guess it away. The universe, the earth, our existence-they all testify of Heavenly Father's existence and above all His love. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Adam
Being a Mormon is a unique experience. The more I have learned about other cultures and religions, including the American culture I belong to, the more I have realized how special being a Mormon is. As Mormons (Latter-day Saints), we enjoy a special unity, a common purpose, and a shared vision. The purpose of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints becomes the mutual purpose of all of its members. We want to bring goodness and virtue to a world that often times offers the opposite. Furthermore, we strive to be a powerful and consistent influence for what is good and right. We can be misunderstood, of course, just like all religious groups. Yet, those misunderstandings have never caused us to forget who we are and the good we're trying to accomplish. I love being a Latter-day Saint. I consider it one of the greatest privileges of my life. Show more Show less
