Hi I'm Lauren

I am a young wife and mother who has another baby on the way. I love music, art, learning, and enriching our lives.

About Me

I am a young mother of a beautiful 2 year old daughter, and the wife to a wonderful man. I have been married 4 years, and I currently live in Idaho while my husband finishes up his schooling. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also expecting our second child, which should be here around July of next year. I love to sing and play piano. I love anything to do with crafts. I also love to cook healthy food for my family. I love literature, and writing, especially on my blog. I love family and friends and any type of social gathering with them. I love being a stay-at-home wife and Mommy, and I love spending time with my husband and daughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family who raised me in the ways of the gospel. At age 8, I was baptized. At a young age, I remember just absolutely knowing that my Savior existed and that He loved me. I absolutely knew the church was true. As I began to mature into a teenager, I began to have some questions and even doubts about my church. I was often bombarded with criticizm from my friends at school about what my church believed. It became very important to me to gain my own testimony, and no longer be dependent upon my parent's convictions of the truth. So I studied, prayed, pondered, and searched out my feelings and true tesimony of the church. The turning point in my life was when I went to EFY at age 15, and had some of the most amazing experiences I will always remember. Since then, my testimony has only grown as I exercise faith and continue to study and live the gospel. I can now honestly say that I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is true, and that I love it and believe it with all of my heart and mind. I am a Mormon because I have my own testimony in this work, and I believe it to be true. I am a Mormon because I desire to do what God wants me to do and live the life He wants me to live. I am a Mormon because it brings me peace, comfort, and happiness like nothing else can give me. I am a Mormon because I love God and Jesus Christ and want to help in Their work.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through serving in my calling in my local church. I organize musical numbers and events for church activities. I also live my faith through visiting and teaching to 2 sisters in my ward once a month, occasionally bringing dinners to those who need it, baking cookies, babysitting, and serving in other small ways. Most importantly, I live my faith through being a wife and mother who lives the commandments as best I can. I try to raise my child to be a kind, loving individual who will some day be an honorable citizen and church member. I try to be a supportive and loving wife to my husband, and help him in any way I can. I live my faith first and formost within the walls of my own home. We read our scriptures, pray, and serve in any way we can.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Lauren
We believe that God is a glorified being, who is in the same form as us. He has a body just like us. He is merciful and just. He loves us unconditionally, and wants the absolute best for His spirit children, which we are. He wants us to be happy and He is always reaching out to us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. He is the perfect Father. Show more Show less
