Hi I'm Lisa

I am a Wife, Mother, the "Attendance Lady." I joined the church at the age of 15 and that makes me a Mormon!

About Me

I love my family and my two son in laws and enjoy just being with them. Our family likes to try new foods, play games and play Wii. We are quite competitive! My husband and I love to travel. Besides traveling within the US we have been to Canada, Mexico, Tahiti and I have been to Greece with one of my daughters. I work at our local High School as the "Attendance Lady." Suprisingly.....I love teenagers!! I like to sew, love old school musicals, The Unsinkable Molly Brown is one of my favorites. I can spend hours searching out my family history and I LOVE to walk in cemeteries!

Why I am a Mormon

I was a teenager when The Church was introduced to me by a girl friend at school. Her simple question "would you like to go to a dance on Saturday?" was the start. My parents were recently separated. The dances and all the activites that were available for the youth kept me attending Church for a year before I was baptised at 15. Going to Church brought a normalcy that I didn't have at home. Even though my parents divorced and I was the only member, my parents "liked the way I turned out and how I raised my four children." I now share our uncovered family history with them. My daughters and I have performed the temple work for my mom who passed in 2009. My 91 year old grandmother said if she was ever to join a church it would be "The Mormon Church." She loves Mitt Romney!

How I live my faith

Working at a high school I come in contact with many different kinds of kids with different backgrounds and life styles. Besides their immodest dress, color and style of hair, tatoos and piercings, the kids cuss A LOT and when I hear that language, which is daily, I will say...."what the HECK," or "SHOOT!" or "DANG IT!"  etc...

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, we help anyone in need. My husband and I have jobs within our community. We have both come across situations where we have been able to help others with various needs. "If ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me."   Show more Show less
