Hi I'm Renee

I'm a Mom and Grandma, an Interior Designer, and a City Clerk, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 5 grown children who are all amazing people. My Mom lives with my Husband and me. We're privileged to take care of her in these last years of her life. We moved to a sweet little town with a lot of LDS people in it just over seven years ago. We love it here so much! The people are warm, and generous and we feel like we want to be our best just to be more like them.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyone has trials and struggles. Mine have taught me that I need my faith in God, or I know I would crumble. As I've struggled through loss and crisis, fear and uncertainty, my relationship with my Father in Heaven has strengthened so much. Because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I've learned how to truly love without holding back. I'm so grateful for all that I have, but I know the most important thing in my life is my faith in Him who is "mighty to save".

How I live my faith

I'm one of the Activity Days Leaders in our church community. I get to have all the 8 through 11 year old girls come to my house twice a month. We color and cook and play games and read scriptures, go to museums or whatever we can think of. The main thing is to be together and teach each other what it means to be a follower of Christ in our daily lives. These are the cutest, sweetest, most adorable young ladies you'll ever meet. I feel so blessed to be a small part of their lives right now.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Renee
I believe this is the key question. If this is what you're pondering more than anything else, then you are really on the right track. Every week we attend our Church meetings to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be reminded of those basic things that lead us to Him; We're taught to pray, read the scriptures, attend our meetings and classes, and serve each other. These are more than just "the basics". These are the life blood, the water and sustenance of our spiritual development. If you ever feel that you are beyond these, but still feeling unfulfilled, then my advise to you is to return to these simple lessons; Pray with the intent to follow the promptings you receive as you pour out your heart to God; Read from the scriptures and believe you'll find His answers to your questions there; Attend your Church meetings looking for people who need you. I promise you that if you'll do these simple things, your faith will increase and you will see miracles, big and small, happen in your life. Show more Show less
