Hi I'm Lisa Michelle Thibodeau

I love wildlife photography, hiking , and taking care of my family. I am a Mormon!

About Me

I grew up on a farm and still consider myself a farm girl. Hiking and wildlife photography are a passion of mine. My husband and I have 5 children. Three of them have muscular dystophy .It has been a journey to raise them and deal with their disability. My life has been blest by 4 grandchildren. There are 3 boys and 1 girl. Everyday life is a gift and adventure.I love the four seasons here in Minnesota and the beauty of lving out in the country. In my spare time I love to write short stories.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not join the Mormon church until I was 41 years old. Many nights in my life while I raised a family I would pray to Heavenly Father to let me know where I belonged and what church was true. After some time Missionaries knocked on my door, I knew nothing of the church or what Mormons believed. I was invited to study and to pray. It was hard at first and really hard to wonder if I prayed sincerely and really asked what to do what would I do if the answer was yes. I did not expect it would be and I would be safe in what I already knew. When I prayed with a sincere heart God answered me. the Spirit let me know what was real. As long as I live I will never forget the feeling I received that day. It wrapped around me with a deep feeling of love and gratitude. I am a Mormon because I know it is what Father wants and He loves us deeply. It has changed my life and my attitude and my heart.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the scriptures . Other books that help are Daughters in My Kingdom and True to the Faith. My callings at church are teaching new members or those that are interested in joining the church. I also work at Emergency Prepardness which is a timely topic for all. For those that cannot come to church I write letters to monthly. I try to be an example to all of who a Mormon is. Many things in life are learned or want to be learned by example. I love to take meals to those in need and write cards and letters to shut ins.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Lisa Michelle Thibodeau
The Word of Wisdom is so important. It is to help us to stay healthy and live a better life. I see it as a blueprint for my family . Tabacco, alcohol, caffine and drugs are not good for anyones body or health. Our loving Father in Heaven has given this to all as a way to live better! I know how much better I feel by not doing these things. Show more Show less
