Hi I'm Tyler

California grown. I lived right in the central valley. I love music. I'm a type 1 diabetic. iMormon.

About Me

I love music, the outdoors and movies. I love to laugh and have a good time. I served my mission in Georgia. It's made me a better person from what I was in the past. It has shaped me into what I am today. My future will be better because of it.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts. So I was born into this church. I wasn't sure if I had a testimony until I was 18. I have two older sisters and two older brothers. My oldest brother and I always fought when we were growing up. When I was a teenager, yes there were times when I didn't want to go to church, when I didn't want to go on a mission, where I wanted to just leave. Thanks to my two brothers they changed my life. My second brother got really sick in 2008 and was in the hospital for months...it scared me. I didn't want anything bad to happen to him. Then one night, when I was in my "dark days" as I call it, I decided to pray for the first time. As days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months I would keep praying, I wanted to know if the church was true and to see if God was really there and listening to me. Well, one day my oldest brother leaves to serve his mission. Now, since I didn't really like him very much I was pretty happy that he left. When I got home and entered my room I felt the spirit so strong. From that moment on my life has changed. From that moment on I felt love for my older brother. Because of his example and serving a mission I knew that the church was true, I knew that God loved me and that he heared my prayers. Then I knew, I had to go on a mission to let others know that God still loves them and he cares for them. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know it's true. I know that this is Heavenly Father's true church, that is something no one can take away from me. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

"People want to KNOW how much you CARE before they CARE how much you KNOW." I think caring about someone is one of the most important things we can do. Everybody is different, you don't know what they're going through, how they feel or what they're thinking. What matters is that you shouldn't judge anybody, no matter who they are or what they've been through. You need to show them that you care for them because they ARE your brother or your sister, we are all God's children. That's the first thing I try to do, is to care for someone, because EVERYONE needs a friend. I've been here in Georgia for almost two years now serving my mission for the Lord.
