Hi I'm Erick

I'm 50 Percent Salvadorean, 50 Percent Venezuelan, and 100 Percent Mormon.

About Me

My name is Erick, I come from a wonderful family with hispanic roots. I have a father from El Salvador and a mother from Venezuela. I grew up speaking Spanish and English thanks to the efforts of my family. I played Soccer for my highschool and love to play almost any sport. I love music and listen to many different varieties. I've never learned to play an instrument but I am working on it. Currently, I am a missionary for the mormon church in the state of Georgia and focus on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I love seeing the change that occurs for many people in their lives as they draw closer to God and make promises with him. I get to share my experiences and why I am mormon with people everyday!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been Mormon since I can remember. Both of my parents are converts to the church. I was very young when they made the decision to change religion in their lives and to live the Gospel. This has been a great blessing to me in my life. Growing up I didn't really have much of a conviction that the Mormon religion was the right one. However, as I matured and realized the importance of God in my life I began to do my best to follow his will. One day, I knelt down in prayer after reading the Book of Mormon. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace come into my heart and mind. Along with that came a deep conviction of the "Restored" Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have come to know that this is the same organization that Christ established during his earthly ministry. This has been made possible through modern day Prophets and Apostles, just as in ancient times. In the end, I came to be a Mormon because of my decision to follow God and ask for His direction in my life. I know living this Gospel is the way God wishes for all of his children to follow Him.I know this is where He would have me be.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a full-time missionary for the Mormon church. Everyday I wake up, study the word of God, and minister to others. My purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and in His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism by proper Priesthood authority, Recieving the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and enduring to the end.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Erick
We believe in God the Eternal Father, in His son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. We believe that each member of what we call the "Godhead" is an individual and distinct person. Each one playing a key role in the progress and salvation of God's spirit children. God The Father- Has a body of flesh and bones. The Father of our spirits. The Creator of the Plan of Salvation. Jesus Christ- Has a body of flesh and bones. The Son Of God. The Savior. He performed the Atonement to provide a means by which we can return to live with God the Father. The Holy Ghost- The Testator, or Testifier of Truth. He is primarily responsible for confirming the reality of the Father and the Son to our spirits. He also testifies and helps us recognize any truth in this life. He is the means which God uses to guide us in our lives. Show more Show less
