Hi I'm Steven

I'm a father, a husband, a chemical engineer, a beginning skier, I run my own business - & I am a mormon

About Me

I am a native Arizonan, born and raised in the White Mountains where belive it or not it snows in the winter. There is a ski resort close to where I live. My family has recently picked up skiing and it has been fun to learn along side my children. I am married to a wonderful woman. Most people call her Heidi, but I just call her gorgeous. She grew up in Salt Lake City and therefore she is our family's ski instructor. I love being a dad. It is the highlight of my life. My children bring me immeasurable joy. In reality I have learned more about my Father in Heaven from having and raising children than all other of my life's experiences combined.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of the Church for seven generations. My grandfather which I decend from crossed the plains with Brigham Young. Certainly this contributes to me being a mormon. However, I am now a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it is Christ's true Church. I do not say this boastfully and I have not come to know this from a single earth shattering experience, but rather through a myriad of small experiences which combined together have given me an unshakable assurance that God and Christ did appear to Joseph Smith and restored Christ's Church to the earth in its fullness.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example! Really this is the only true way we show our faith in Christ - by what we do. Our family motto is "BE KIND." How we treat others matters alot to me. I believe obedience to God's laws is the foundation for receiving great blessings, help, wisdom and revelation in our lives. In fact, I am providing this profile mostly because I have been encouraged to do so by Church leaders. I work to stay true to the simple and basic doctrines and principles of Christ's teachings like daily scriputre study, praying often, honoring the Sabboth day, attending God's temples and being a full tithe payer. Through these things I have experienced wonderful blessings and divine help in my life and I have come to know and feel of God's love for me.
