Hi I'm Matt

I love the great outdoors. I am a student. I have a wonderful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to college and studying Electrical Engineering for my under graduate degree. I thoroughly enjoy learning new things. I have many hobbies, they include anything in the great outdoors like mountain biking and skiing. I also dabble in photography and painting. Of course all of these hobbies would mean nothing unless I had others to share them with. I do many of these things with my friends, and also my family. I belong to a family of eight children, six of which are brothers and two are sisters. I served a church service mission for two years in the United Kingdom. It was a great growing experience for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I've never liked doing things without an end goal or purpose in mind. That is why I am a Mormon. Without the direction and purpose that my beliefs deliver to my life, I would be completely unsatisfied. As I have learned, and continue to learn, about my purpose in life, it adds meaning to every decision I make. I am continually trying to be a better person because of my understanding of the Gospel. And most of all because of these things I am happy! Being a Mormon brings joy into my life every day. I know that God lives and loves us, and that he has a plan so that our purpose in this life can be accomplished. I have felt Gods influence in my life by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that Christ is my personal Savior, and that through him I can accomplish the purpose of this life. I have seen this same influence in many peoples lives. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Really it is quite simple. I strive to live the Gospel every day. I read the words of prophets both ancient and modern daily. I also pray through out the day, particularly in the mornings and the evenings. Every Sunday I go to church and learn more about the the Gospel, and am strengthened by my fellow members. I also have the assignment to visit just a few different members in my local Mormon community, and to share a message with them and make sure that their needs are being met. But mostly I try to live it daily by striving to be good person. One of the most important ways I try to accomplish this is that I try to treat others with respect and kindness, regardless of their beliefs, habits, weaknesses, strengths, eccentricities, etc, because I believe that every human being is a Child of God . To me the best way to manifest my religion is in treating my fellow brothers and sisters properly, and so that is what I try to do.
