Hi I'm Bryce

I make movies and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love filmmaking, photography, football, soccer, tennis, rock climbing, folk dance, and reading. I served a mission in Peru, I'm married to a beautiful woman, I have an adorable daughter, and I'm thankful for the gospel in my life and temples.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for a lot of reasons, but most of all it's because I know it's true. I know God is our Heavenly Father, and like any loving parent he is anxious and willing to bless us with what we need. I know that if we pray and ask for knowledge he will bless us with a knowledge of the truth, and then help us follow that conviction. I've done that many times throughout my life, and I have felt the promptings of the Spirit guide me in important decisions in my life, including the decision to be baptized and the decision to be married in the temple. It's important to feel like you have a purpose in life. Being a member of Christ's church has blessed me with a better understanding of what my purpose in life is. It gives me confidence and faith in the future, and that I am important and have something to contribute.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning about Jesus Christ and trying to follow his example. I have found that sincere prayer and scripture study are so important in helping me draw close to Christ. It's amazing what a difference taking the time to pray and read the scriptures can make. Life is busy and sometimes it can be difficult to take the time to make those simple tasks meaningful, but I never regret it when I do. It's also so important to serve others, and that's what I love about being part of a ward. I love to get to know people and have the chance to serve them. In the ward I am a hometeacher, and with my hometeaching companion we visit several families every month. I've formed lasting friendships, and been able to serve others in meaningful ways through hometeaching. As a member of my ward I also have the responsibility to teach a Sunday School class. It's a challenge sometimes to prepare lessons, but it has helped me grow. These callings or responsibilities change from time to time, but being able to sacrifice to serve in the church has blessed my life by increasing my love for Jesus Christ and my desire to follow him.
