Hi I'm George Laub

Grew up in Utah, love to have fun and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a musician and sports fanatic. In High School and now I played the trombone and tube. Along with playing soccer, hockey, tennis, and any other fun sports. My Junior year in High School I suffered Renal Kidney Failure from natural causes, so when I was 17 years old I recieved a kidney from my dad. I'm alive can't play as ruff as I use to but by the grace of God still loving life.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born in this religion I didn't really know anything else. I know I'm only twenty but after living life and experiencing what I have. When I was really stuggling espically with my kidney failure and being in the hospital and having tubes coming from all sorts of places. Reflecting back on it when I first found out I had Renal Failure I was scared. So I clung to what I knew I could trust. The Word of God. In the scriptures, especially "The Book of Mormon Another Testament of Jesus Christ" I found a comfort and security I couldn't get anywhere else. I felt that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really did know and love me. I thought of our Heavenly Fathers plan for us and how we recieved this knowledge. I knew that I couldn't feel such love anywhere else except as a Mormon. I was so blessed and privileged to be born exactly where I'm supposted to be. And I have been given a second chance in life.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is part of my every day life. I'd say the best way I show my faith is just by how a treat and share what I know with people. This gives me an opportunity to show faith. I love to help others and sometimes, well quite often they don't want help. But it gives me comfort to know that I offered. That I opened that door so receive some Christlike love because if somebody needed help I believe if Jesus Christ was there he would help them. So I do to.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

George Laub
Before I went on a mission for the Mormon church, I saved up money by working at Taco Bell and McDonalds it wasn't all that fun, but by the time turned 19 I was able to pay most of my own way. And my family helps with the rest. Other ways it is paid is donations from ordinary members of the church that want to show their faith and support for the speading of the Lords work. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

George Laub
The Atonement of Christ is him suffering for our sin in the Garden of Gethsemane, dying on cross for us, when three days later raising again from the grave. Jesus Christ makes up for what we lack. Me personally sin everyday I'm not perfect, and I don't know how to avoid dying in this life. But I do know I can always turn to Christ for strength and comfort because of the Atonement, that is how he knows what we personally are going through. Show more Show less
