Hi I'm Wes

I'm a cowboy, I'm a welder, I like to trick rope, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a ranch in Northern Nevada. I have been around cows and horses all my life. I love to rope, and I love being outdoors. I like football, diesel trucks, and spring time. I grew up a Mormon, and I believe that even though this is the only church I have ever belonged to I still had to find out for myself if it was true.

Why I am a Mormon

I think that the main reason I am a Mormon is because it makes me so happy. The Book of Mormon teaches us that "wickedness never was happiness", and that's the truth! Everything God asks us to do is for a reason. Sometimes the commandments seem like they hold us back, and we wonder why God doesn't just let us do what we want. When we look at the big picture we can see that there are a lot of things that look like fun, or they seem like they would make us happy, but in the eternal aspect of things that's not true. True lasting hapiness can only come from living our lives how Christ wants us to. I am so greatful for Jesus Christ and that He showed us what we need to do to be happy.

How I live my faith

There is a song I used to sing at church when I was a kid called "Give Said The Little Stream." It talked about how even though the stream was small, wherever it ran the grass was greener. There are billions of people in the world, and I am only one person, but I try to brighten the lives of those people that I come in contact with. I live my faith by telling people about Christ and how He can bring peace and happiness into our lives.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Heck no! We believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet called of God, but we don't worship him. We worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We don't worship Joseph Smith any more than we worship Moses or Noah. Show more Show less
