Hi I'm Ashley

Finding JOY in the journey

About Me

Hi! I graduated with my degree in Acting. I love to work on uplifting art for the community. I stay at home with my two kids and try to keep my sanity. I organize a monthly knit and crochet group. I also enjoy reading and hanging out with my friends. I am working to improve my cooking and photography skills. I am the only member of the church in my family, but joining the church was the best decision I ever made.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in another faith and often had many unanswered questions. When I learned about the church everything was answered and made sense. I prayed to know if the church was true. I quickly felt a peace and happiness and knew that Joseph Smith is a prophet and the Book of Mormon is true. I really appreciate that the church encourages personal prayer and revelation on tenets you don't understand. It has been a source of strength for me in my conversion. I was amazed by Mormons living their religion with no exceptions. "By their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 7: 20) I am excited to raise my family in the gospel and I know that the church will help provide a great foundation for my kids in a scary world. The church makes me a better person each day.

How I live my faith

I am the Stake Drama Director. This enables me to do what I love but in an uplifting environment. I can use the skills I have to help others. I enjoy the program of visiting teaching because I get to meet and love other women I wouldn't normally talk to. I currently visit a widow and a Speech Pathologist. It is interesting to hear about their life experiences and learn from them. Everyday I am thankful for the church and the guidance that it gives my life. I know who I am and I know what I am on Earth to do.
