Hi I'm Tami

I love to read. I'm newly married. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was married in August 2010 and I am working while my husband finishes college. It has been a wonderful time, and has been so amazing to grow with eachother and with the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where there was a lot of love, but not a lot of the gospel. We were members, but never very active, and I always had a foot on both sides of the fence. On one hand I wanted people in the church to think I was active, even though I didn't frequently go to church. On the other hand I didn't want to stand out from my family as being the church going one. My senior year of high school I needed to consider where I was going to go to school. My good friend who was a member suggested BYU-Idaho to me, and I looked into it. The more I learned about it the more I wanted to go. I started attending church on a more regular basis, and really trying to learn about the gospel for myself. I started school at BYU-Idaho in 2006 and have grown so much in the gospel. It was hard to move far from home and to decide to be an active member of the church and to stand out different from the rest of my family. I have such of testimony of God, Christ, and the plan of happiness now, and I am so grateful to that friend that told me about BYU-Idaho. I have recently been married in the temple and I am so happy to have an enternal companion to go through the rest of time with. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My husband and I have been serving as the ward nursery leaders and it has been such a rewarding experience. My testimony has grown so much by watching these little children come to know and understand who God and Jesus Christ are. I love going to church on Sunday and knowing that I will get to teach and play with sweet children in our ward.
