Hi I'm Lynda.

I'm married and a mom of 2 daughters, 1 step-daughter and 3 step-sons. I have 18 grandchildren! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I find life exciting and enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren. I love to laugh and have a good time with my family. I enjoy good music in all sorts of varieties. A good song can lift a soul. I am an advocate for good clean entertainment. I work doing various jobs in my community. Some days I work in school lunchrooms as a substitute. I also work with a friend in home staging, moving and placing furniture. Another job I have is that I work with a company that manages crowd flow at various events, like college football games. The most favorite thing I do is that I volunteer my time as a dance fitness instructor and I love it! I enjoy helping others have fun in becoming physically and mentally fit by incorporating music, dancing and laughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to Mormon parents. I was raised as a Mormon. I came to appreciate the Mormon religion while living in Germany as a young wife and mother. While there, I was part of a small serviceman's branch and became closely connected to the branch members there. They helped me to see the happiness that comes through living a righteous and giving life. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I continue to choose to live according to righteous principles and God's laws because it brings me peace beyond understanding.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to include God's word in my life daily. I do this by studying and pondering the scriptures, reading and listening to the prophet's and apostles words, keeping a prayer in my heart to help those around me, and seeking God's will in all that I do. My life includes serving in the church with other women who are part of an organization that oversee the temporal and spiritual needs of the women in the church and their families and the needs of the surrounding community. This brings me a lot of joy. I also enjoy spending time researching family history and helping others find their ancestors. I incorporate righteous values in my associations throughout the community I reside and work in. I enjoy serving my friends, family and community members.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Lynda.
In the scriptures we read about the lives of those who have lived before us and their relationship to our Heavenly Father, his Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Among the things we can learn from studying the scriptures may include, how to live righteously, how to avoid the pitfalls of sin, and how to serve our fellow man. If we read the scriptures daily and apply them to our lives today, it becomes a constant reminder to us of the love that our Heavenly Father and his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ has for us. This love brings peace and hope and joy in a difficult world we live in today. Show more Show less
