Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon. My wife and I are the parents of five children.

About Me

I'm a husband and a Dad. I love to go hiking in the mountains and running on trails. I've hiked all the way across the Grand Canyon (in one day) and run a 5K across the Golden Gate Bridge. But nothing is more fun than doing things and going places with my family. We love playing together, singing together and working together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon home. But I couldn't rely on just the teachings of my parents. I had to know for myself if Joseph Smith was a real prophet, and if the Book of Mormon was true. After diligent study and prayer, I received my own witness of both of those things. But you don't have to take my word for it. You can find out for yourself just as I did.

How I live my faith

I work with the young men (ages 12 - 19) in my congregation (we call it a ward). We go on camps, work toward becoming Eagle Scouts, and give service to the people in our community. On Sundays we teach the principles of Jesus Christ. During the week we do our best to put those principles into practice. Right now, my wife and I are missionaries for our church in Cambodia. We teach people about Jesus Christ and serve the Cambodian people (we help them learn English).
