Hi I'm Collin

I'm a dancer, a sports fan, a crazy kid in a crazy world. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my life. I love football, soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, well let's face it if it is a sport, I love it. Watching or playing, it doesn't matter. And I love ballroom dance. Professional dancer, probably not. But I have a passion for dancing and I love to share it. And ya know being a mormon, we love to dance! No, seriously, we do. And I love to play the piano. Music really is a big part of my life. They say music is the universal language. I say dancing is a way to speak that language

Why I am a Mormon

Although I did grow up in the church, I still had to be converted. Everyone has to go through their own conversion process. For me it was when I had to move when I was a junior in high school. When you hit rock bottom you find the only one who can go with you is God. And He is the only one who can bring you back. Growing up in the church sometimes we just go through the motions because it is what we have done for a while. But for me I didn't want to go through the motions any more. I wanted to find out if this church was true or not. It takes study and prayer. And it takes doing. So I searched and studied for my answer. And I got it. Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. He was an instrument in the hands of our Lord and Savior to bring about the restoration of the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. How do I know? The Holy Spirit has touched my soul in a way where I can not deny this truth. I urge people everywhere to read the Book of Mormon for themselves and pray sincerley to know that this work is true. I testify that you will feel closer to God by reading the Book of Mormon and you will want to follow Jesus Christ more fully. The feeling you get from the Holy Spirit will be something you will never forget. It was for me and it will be for you

How I live my faith

To be quite honest the most amount of preaching to people I have done is in the paragraph above and when i was a missionary. I believe in example. Our Savior was the perfect example and although He did teach, He constantly urged everyone to follow Him. We follow Him best by keeping His commandments. I just try to be a positive example to others wherever I am. And ya know I am not the perfect example and I make mistakes. But I can decide to follow Christ and do the best I can. Service is a great way to get to know people in the community and a great way to live you faith.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Collin
There are really two things we will take with us to the next life. The knowledge we have gained here on earth and our families. The church is set up to help build and maintain the family. Heavenly Father wants all of His children to come back to Him. The best way for that to happen is for children to grow up in a home that is founded upon the teachings and gospel of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father wants His whole family to come back. That should be our goal as well. Show more Show less
