Hi I'm Kelly

I"m a Musical Mormon

About Me

I'm 20 years old and I have lived "around the world" as most people put it. My Dad served 9 years in the U.S. Navy and as a result, I've moved a few times! I was born in Phoenix, Arizona moved to Apple Valley, California then to Virginia Beach, Virginia next was Okinawa Japan then Silverdale, Washington and finally, dad retired from the service and we moved to Mansfield, Texas for hopefully the last move in a while. People ask me where I'm from and I tell them I'm from Japan, mostly because its my favorite reaction, but also because it was my favorite so far. I'm HUGE into Music. I plan on being a High School Choir Director and teaching people that ANYone can sing! I Sing, I play piano, and I play flute. I also plan to add Violin to my list sometime soon. I'm also big into video games and Computers. My 3 Brothers and I love to play against each other and its brought us closer together than you might think! I grew up in the Church, and I'm so grateful I did! Having moved around so much I can add my testimony to many others' in that the church is true no matter where you go!!

Why I am a Mormon

Why? Because I care. I care enough to realize that my actions affect other people. I want to live a life that benefits others as well as myself. I enjoy seeing others near me happy and friendly. The values of the church are not found very much anymore. My Grandparents were the first to join the church on my dad's side that I know of. I don't know where I'd be without their actions. I care enough for them that I don't lose sight of what's most important. Jesus Christ is my Savior, Lord, and King. I care enough for what He's done for me that I could never leave Him and forget the things that He has done for me and shown to me. I know that this Gospel is true! No one else comes close. This is the only True Church of Jesus Christ on the Earth today, Right now, This instant! I care about the knowledge that I've received that I just won't quite being a Mormon!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through music! I have been the Choir Director before and I absolutely loved it! Music is a very powerful tool. Whether good or bad, music influences us. Too many teens these days don't listen to the good music that can change lives. I try to do my best to be an example to friends and neighbors by only listening to the best of music to show that you can enjoy music without the violence or drugs. Music can change the world, and I intend to use it!!!!!

Are Mormons Christians?

The question is: What are CHRISTians? A "Christian" is anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Are Mormons Christians? YESYESYES!! A thousand times: YES! I wouldn't be able to handle life's everyday hardships and challenges without the help and strength of my Redeemer, Jesus Christ!! Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Simple. You meet with the missionaries! Their job is to come and teach you the basics of what we believe in and to make sure you understand what you are doing. The missionaries don't coerce, bribe or push you into getting baptized. They are your guides to helping you know that this church is true! Take the time to talk to the missionaries, you'll learn more then just by asking around. And you won't be forced to be baptized, you could back out if you felt you needed to.
