Hi I'm Cliff Francis

I'm South African and grew up in Essex. I love playing rugby. I'm a Mormon Missionary

About Me

I was born in South Africa and moved to England when I was 10 years old in 2001. I have grown up in essex, UK. I love playing rubgy and football, and spending time with my friends and family. I also do a lot of fishing. I played rubgy for my Sixth form college and then afterwards for my local town club. I am now a missionary in the North west of Enlgand inviting other people to find what I have found. I am a brother, and a son. My family mean a lot to me and have become the most important thing in my life. I enjoy spending time with them and over the last couple of years my parents and younger sister have become some of my closest friends. I also have firends that are both members of our church and non-members, both have been a very big part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a christian family and from very young was taught about the bible. When I was about 7 years old my family joined The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I was active in our church until about 14 years old. At this time in my life, the things that the world could offer became much more interesting and I found myself loosing my faith in Jesus Christ and desire to attend church. Throughout the next few years I went my own way and did what I wanted enjoying my life but beginning to loose meaning and sense of direction. By the time I was 17 the things that originally made me happy, really had no fulfilment. One day I heard some friends teaching about the Book of Mormon, and what they said really touched my heart. This caused me to pray, for the first time in about 4 years. The feelings of love and assurance that came as I asked God if this was really true have changed my life forever. I gained a real witness that God does love us, that Jesus Chirst lives. This has impacted the way I view myself, my family and the world I live in. I understand now that family is truly a treasure that we can keep and that they provide us with a real happiness that is fulfulling and meaningful. The gospel has given me Joy that has filled the holes in my life. Beacuse of this I have decided to devote 2 years of my life to serving the Lord and sharing His gospel with those who, like me need to find this more excellent way. I didn't know this was what I wanted, but when I found it, I realised this Gospel was true and that it provided me with a treasure that I would never give up. I am so grateful for this

How I live my faith

I am currently a missioanry, and so I spend 2 years as a full time volunteer, teaching and serving those int he area that I live. We have been called by a Prophet of God to share what we know, adn this calling has brought me so much happiness! I love being a missioanry. Before doing this fultime, I was working in recruitment and would attend church on sundays, as well as different activities throughtout the week, playing sports, visiting friends, and giving service. My faith has helped me to understand how I can live my life to the fullest.
