Hi I'm Zach Larson

My name is Zach Larson. I love to hang out with Friends and family. I LOVE sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports whether it is soccer to golf or football. I love to go all in and give 100% in all that I do. I am single and plan on going to college. Right now I am serving a two year mission. I have been through good time and bad and have tried to learn all that I can from the experiences that God has given. I love the beach and to chill with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because nothing else has helped me get through the hard things in life better than God and his gospel. I remember that there was one time in my life where my parents had recently been divorced and I was really struggling with that. No matter who I went to or what I did it felt like I couldn't receive any comfort or help.I felt like I had tried everything and that no one understood what I was going through. There was one time where I just got down on my knees and I just started to plead with God that he would help me and I asked him to take the pain away. After I said that prayer I immediately felt comfort and felt better. I knew that God was real. I didn't understand at the time how that was possible but I now know how and why. The message of the Restored Gospel has changed my life and given me a sense of direction that nothing else has given me. I know for myself that the things that we believe are true because of the many confirmations of the spirit God has given me.

How I live my faith

I love to serve God. There was a time when I was teaching 3 and 4 year old kids and every Sunday I would look forward to coming in and teaching them. It was amazing to see the love and innocence of kids and how care-free they are. It was a great experience. I also am a full-time missionary right now and there is nothing else that brings me greater joy than helping people come closer to Christ. I love to help people and to serve them.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Zach Larson
Many people in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serve missions because of the joy that comes from helping others come closer to God. However it is not mandatory that everyone serve a mission. God desires that all of children participate in the joy that comes from missionary service and to help others come unto him. It is one of the greatest opportunites that he gives us to serve him. Missionaries usually go on missions when they 19 to 21 years old. However, it is not limited to a certain age group. All who want to go on missions can wether they be young, old or married. It is 100% volunteer work and people actually pay for themselves to go on missions to help others. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Zach Larson
Faith is one of the most basic principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith is the belief in something that is true that is not seen. For example when someone plants a garden they have the faith that in a few months they will harvest what is planted. Or when in the night time they have the faith that the sun will rise again. Faith is a principle of power. Faith is more than a belief in something but it takes us to action. It is not a passive belief. It is important that we also excresice faith in a true principle and it will only work if we excercies faith in Jesus Christ. Faith has the power to change lives and is the ability to make things happen. When we bind ourselves to act in Faith, things will happen that otherwise would not have happend. With Faith all things are possible according to the sacred will of God. It is what wills us to the next day and to achieve happiness in this life. Show more Show less
