Hi I'm Coral Ortega-Smith

I have been a member of the church since 1997. The best decision ever!!!

About Me

I got married in the Salt Lake City Temple in October 2010. We are really happy and excited to start our eternal family. I love the Gospel, I don't know what I would do without it. I spend most of my time in Church related activities. Life is great!!!

Why I am a Mormon

Two missionaries knock on my family's door back in 1997. I remember them like if it is today. I was only 12 years old and my dad, who never talked about religion in our home even thought he did teached us how to pray, let them in. He was praying for someone to come so he can guide us in true. It was wonderful when the missionaries challenged us to pray as a family and personally to know if this was true. My dad was the first one to get baptized followed by my mom a week later. Suddenly one night during our family prayer, it was my turn to pray and I just felt the Spirit whispering to me that I needed to get baptize. I went to my room after that and I just couldn't stop crying of happiness because I knew that I was going to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ. One week after my mom, my sister and I entered in the waters of baptism. Since then, it has been a wonderful journey, hard at times but full of blessings and guideance from the Holy Ghost, Jesus Chirst and Heavenly Father. I am LDS because I know this is the truth. As I pray everyday I can feel and I know that Heavenly Father is listenign to my prayers. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read and I will keep reading it over and over again. There are so many things that we can learn through constant study. This is the truth!!!!!

How I live my faith

I have served in many ways to my Savior. I am currently the Primary President for my Branch. We have wonderful kids, sons and daugthers of God. Me and my husband likes to serve in the temple. So every Saturday we attend as volunteers and we try to go as a couple at least once a month. It is a wonderful and marvelous work.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Coral Ortega-Smith
They will talk about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But they will also challenge you to prove by yourself that it is true. No one can tell you the true of the Gospel but the Spirit of God that speak to all of us through the feelings of our heart. Show more Show less
