Hi I'm Sandra

I can keep plants alive for about a month, I love to hear my baby laugh, and one day I'd like to win a pie eating contest.

About Me

I have 9 siblings, 4 of which are younger than me. I made it my life's work growing up to make sure my siblings served my every whim, but that didn't work out so well. I lived in the southern United States for 8 years and never picked up the beautiful accent. Currently I am a wife of a wonderful man who is a foot taller than me, and the mother of one beautiful baby girl and another baby on the way. I like to go to yard sales just to look at stuff and someday I hope to knit more than 3 rows before giving up.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always had a desire to be close to my Heavenly Father and to know who I am in relation to Him. My parents taught me from the time I was small that I could pray to my Heavenly Father and that He would hear and answer my prayers. I have prayed countless times throughout my life and I have received answers to my deepest, most heart felt questions. I have come to know that I am a loved daughter of God and that He will answer my prayers. I was also taught growing up that God loved me so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ to the earth to die for me. They also taught me that God has sent prophets to the earth to teach all of us about Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. I have felt the truthfulness of what my parents taught me because I have experienced answers to my own personal prayers and I know that God will answer other peoples prayers also.

How I live my faith

I try to be the best I can and live my life in a way that would make my Father in Heaven proud. I'm not perfect, but I am striving to be better every day.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Sandra
Jesus taught us that we need to follow His example and be baptized. Many people in the world have not been taught about this or have not had the opportunity to be baptized by someone holding the proper authority before their death. Since God love's all His children, He wants all of them to have the opportunity to live the gospel and return to live with Him. That's why we do baptisms for these people. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Sandra
We believe that the Bible is Holy Scripture and the word of God. It was written anciently by holy prophets who taught the people on the earth about God's plan for them. The Bible teaches about Christ and helps us learn His teachings. Show more Show less
