Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a convert, an only member, I love sports and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Alright, so my name is Aaron. I love to have fun! I enjoy going out on the town and spending time with my family. I am a huge Hockey and Baseball fan. I love my Anaheim Angels and my Anahiem Ducks! Sports is a big part of my life, as well as muisc. Without music and sports, my life would be pretty boring. I am very into Rock and Country music. I have been a member of the Church since May 17, 2009, and don't regret any decision I have made. I have attended some college and am currently trying to find out the career that God wants me to have. As I was investigating the church, my family was against it at first. This is the church of Jesus Christ and because of that truth I had the strength to overcome my parents and follow God and be baptized. I wanted to follow my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

My name is Aaron. I was born Feb 12. I lived with both my parents until they seperated, and divorced in 1997. I lived with my mom, visiting my father only every other weekend. In 2003ish, a huge, STUPID, fight happened within my mother's household. I told my dad that I wanted to move in with him. He said that I'd have to wait until he found a suitable home. In December 2004, I moved in with my father, in the city of Downey, Ca. During my first two years in high school, I was an outcast. I was hanging out with those that were, 'different'. Towards the end of my Sophmore year I changed social groups and turned into a 'BRO'(White BOYS, that ride dirtbikes, and act all tough), I smoked cigarettes, pot, and drank alcohol. Through some friends, I met my now ex-girlfirend who invited me to take the missionary discussions. I did for a couple months. I read some of the Book of Mormon and didnt quite know if I was sure... The sister missionaries said they prayed and they felt taht I should be baptized on May 16th, 2009. I thought it was so soon, seeing as they told me 3 weeks beforehand...But even-so, I took that leap of faith, and after I was baptized the spirit engulfed me! I knew I had done the right thing. God has led me to the truth!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always doing the things that God would have me do. I go to church, read the scriptures. I live the commandments of God!

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith, like a lot of people, were confused about which church to join. Many of them said that they had the whole truth and 'bashed' on other churches. One day Young Joseph was reading in the Bible and came across the scripture in the Book of James, chapter 1, verse 5,"If any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth(wont be mad for asking) not." So that's what He did. He went behind his house to a grove of trees and knelt and prayed"asked" Heavenly Father which church to join. As he prayed he was visited by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They said to not join any of the churches becuase they weren't entirely true. Eventually, Joseph was to translate an ancient record of prophets in the ancient Americas. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, and he saw Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. He translated the Book of Mormon. I know with all my heart that this is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen! Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

The First Vision is the event of when Joseph Smith prayed to God. During Joseph's prayer God the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ appeared unto him. This was his description: "...I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head. Above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me... When the light rested upon me, I saw two Personages, who's brightnes and glory defy all description. Standing above me in the air, one of them spoke unto me, calling me by name, and said pointing to the other, "This is my beloved Son, Hear Him" - Joseph Smith History 1:16-17 Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The that God has placed on Earth are a place that we can go as His children to make and keep sacred promises with Him that enable us to return and live with Him and our families forever. In the temples we learn of Eternal truths and we also participate in ordinances for our deceased brethern, for example, those who have died without a knowledge of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, can be baptized and return to live with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our families! I am so thankful for temples, even though my family are not sealed, yet, my future family will be! Show more Show less
