Hi I'm Patricia Shaw

I'm a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a piano player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married woman of 45 years. I have seven children and 18 grandchildren. I have a love for music. I play the piano, including teaching lessons, and have choral conducting experience. Reading is my favorite hobby. Give me a good book and I can be entertained for hours. I have spent most of my life in California, with a short stint in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but I had to come to receive my own beliefs at some point in my life. I have a trusting nature and believed what my parents told me. Because of that trust I put the gospel to the test and found out that prayers are answered, tithing makes life easier and making good choices creates a quality life. I can't imagine living my life without the understanding I have of who I am, why I'm here and where I'm going after I die.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I spend a lot of my time in the service of others, both in the church and for those that are not members. I spend time with my family so we can have love and support for each other. I consider all people my spirit brothers and sisters and thus have love for people from all walks of life. I am about ready to embark on a mission with my husband to the New Jersey Morristown mission. I am excited to serve the Lord.
