Hi I'm Ezra

I am a fresh college graduate, an outdoor lover, a soccer player, from Indonesia, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Jakarta, Indonesia.. I love sports and outdoors activities.. I love to watch and to play soccer.. I am a student in Brigham Young University-Hawaii. I am majoring in Information System.. I grew up as a Mormon and served a full time mission in the Utah Ogden Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

My parent are convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in the Church to follow my parents. When I was in Junior High School, I questioned myself about my beliefs. I questioned if the Church is true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I prayed and asked God about my questions. I felt the Spirit came into my heart and gave me peaceful feeling that I never felt before. Because of that I know the Church is True and Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I am grateful to learn fully of God's commandments that I keep in my life. The teaching of the Church helped me to reach my potential.

How I live my faith

Striving to become better everyday. Small simple things, great things come to pass. Pray, read scriptures everyday, and find opportunities to serve. Share what I know to be true if opportunity comes

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We can't return to our Father in Heaven with our sins. We can't pay the penalty of our mistakes. Jesus Christ had suffered our pains, sickness, sins, and sorrows of you and me. He is our Savior because through Him, we can be saved. Jesus Christ did not take our personal responsibility to follow Him. We need to believe in Him, repent of our sins, be baptized by proper authority, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, and strive to keep His commandments. I personally had experience this in my life. I am not perfect and I made few mistakes myself. As I repent and strive to avoid those mistakes again, I fell the cleansing power of the Savior. I know without a doubt that He died for our sins. I know that by following him, we can find true happiness and joy in our life. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Missionary Work has been part of Christ Church. Christ commanded His Apostles to preach the Gospel. We are part of God's work to serve others. We need to share what means alot to us to the people that we know. We will be part of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. In the Mission, you will witness the Atonement of Christ in action. I am grateful to be part of it and will continue to do so Show more Show less

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

We believe Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. Words of Wisdom was given by God through him. At that time, the world didn't recognize those substances as harmful. Nowadays, we can see the negative effects of those substances. I am truly grateful for these commandments. For me the focus of Words of Wisdom is self control. For the Spirit of God to be with us, we need to have a clear mind and hearts. By obeying this commandments, you will avoid these harmful addictive substances Show more Show less
