Hi I'm Shane

I love mountain biking and grilled cheese sandwiches. Chocolate chip cookies are the bomb. I'm Mormon and I love it.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family and friends and be outdoors. I love to laugh and I always have to be doing something. I'm also a huge fan of learning, if I'm not learning something new then I'm probably asleep. There's so much out there for us to soak in and be a part of. Right now I'm currently a student studying manufacturing engieenering and suprize, I love doing that too. I know that the teachings of Jesus Christ have blessed my life immensely and its been awesome to see them at work as I've been able to go through my days here in my little slice of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was an inactive member of the Church for a long time and when she started going back to church she naturally wanted me and my brother to go too. I was hesitant at first but I went to Church and the activities for several years and gained a small and simple testimony. About senior year of high school I decided that I wanted to apply to a college, and I started to apply the teachings of the Church to myself more than ever to prepare myself for living on my own. I knew that those teachings of Christ had helped me greatly through high school and that was something that I knew I wanted in my life. It was in college that I decided that I wanted to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served a two year mission in Montana, USA and it was one of the greatest, and hardest, experiences of my life. I know that the experiences and opportunities I had while there will strengthen me for the rest of my life because they helped me to see how involved Christ is in every one of our lives. I have since returned from my mission and continued to do the college thing. Good times...

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the best I can and following the example of Jesus Christ. I know that the truths that I've felt working in my own life have been real and everyday that I strive to live what I know to be true is a day well lived to me. I'm not perfect at it, but I can feel the goodness and love of God as I do my best to keep the commandments and bring my will more in-line with His. I know that we all have choices and opportunities in this life and with the guiding principles that God has given us I feel more sure that my path in life is the path that will lead back to Him again.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The Mormon missionaries will talk about Jesus Christ and how we can improve and strengthen our relationship with Him. Jesus Christ plays an important role in our lives and in the lives of our families. The missionaries also love to share God's plan for us. Through scriptures contained in the Bible, as well as the Book of Mormon, we find a more complete picture of God's plan for us and ways that we can follow His commandments and, ultimately, return to Him.
